Sporting Clube De Goa beat East Bengal 3-1

Sporting Clube De Goa beat East Bengal by 3-1 margin in the 10th National Football League Match played at Margao, Goa today.
Sporting had the first look at goal when Chidi passed the ball to Dudu in the 7th minute of play. Dudu managed to battle of the defender marking him and took a low drive at goal only to see his attempt hit the cross bar and revert back into play.
Sporting took the lead in the 11th minute of play when Saini put the ball to Nicolau of a counter attack from a corner, Nicalau in turn passed it to Chidi who managed to slot the ball pass a hapless Dastidar to give Sporting the lead.
Bhutia helped East Bengal restore parity when in the 26th minute he recieved a perfect pass from Jayanta Sen and made no mistake doing what he does best slotting the ball home.
But Sporting were not down for too long and they soon came back 5 minutes later and netted the their 2nd goal when Adebayo crossed the ball to Dudu in the whose did not manage to get his head to the ball properly and so the ball fall to the feet of Hardeep Singh Saini who made no mistake slotting in the ball from outside the box leaving Rajat Ghosh Dastidar a mere spectator.
Sporting made it 3-1 in the very next minute when Dudu managed to rise high and headed the ball in of a corner kick making the score 3-1 in Sporting's favour, and that is how the score stood till half time.
In the second half, East Bengal managed to put up an improved show, but somehow could not get the goals.
Hardeep Singh Saini of Sporting Clube de Goa was adjudged Man of the Match.
