BNR refuses to play

East Bengal were leading B.N.R 1-0 when their Kolkata Premier League match was halted at the Yuva Bharati Krirangan due to insufficient light.



After sometime the rain stopped and the floodlights were switched on and the referee Asit Sarkar wanted to restart the game but B.N.R refused to play.


Penn Orji scored the only goal for Kingfisher East Bengal Club from a cross of Harmanjot Singh Khabra which rebounded of the rival custodian.


The match was called off after 68 minutes. The fate of the match will be decided by I.F.A League sub-committee after match commissioner’s report comes in.
